In February 2019, Britboy and I went to South Korea. We mostly stayed in Seoul, but also visited the very touristic city of Kyongju.
At the beginning of our stay, the weather was so cold that we had to take shelter in shops or restaurants every 15 minutes. The wind was said to come from Siberia and it was freezing! Thankfully the sun was shining most of the time, and after a few days the weather became milder. Still, because of that cold it was hard for me to draw in the outside, but I had many occasions to sketch when we visited museums or spent time in the lovely studio we rented.
The day before we left, I prepared my creative toolsThe bus to the airport was late, it was stressful. The rest of the trip went ok though. Our plane arrived early in the morning so we had a tea near our rented studioFirst meal in one of the rare restaurants open during Seollal (new year celebrations)We had a cute studio with a great view to Namsan tower... and super kitsch pillowsA break at a museum's coffee shopA traditional Korean music instrumentAnother traditional game in the National Folk MuseumIn South Korea, couples love being assortedA break in one of the museums, to watch an arty movieWe took the fast speed train from Seoul to KyongjuA very old sky observatory in KyongjuWe stayed in a lovely guest house in KyongjuTeenagers visiting Bulguksa temple in Kyongju
